On May 5, 2010, The Mwebaza Foundation hosted it’s second annual Jog-a-Thon to help raise money to benefit our African sister school, Mwebaza Infant Primary School.
Students jogged or walked around a 200M track for 20 minutes and received pledges per lap or a flat donation. The Jog-a-Thon raised just over $9,000. This money will be used to help Mwebaza School begin the construction of classrooms for children between the ages of 10 and 14.

Currently, children must leave the school at age 10 as the school lacks the space or resources to accommodate older children. For many such children, this marks the end of their formal education. The school is in the process of acquiring property near the existing school as a location for this new school annex.

Thanks to all who participated and volunteered to make this event such a success!
