Our collaborative projects in Uganda are centered on the principles of sustainability and self-sufficiency. We work to establish shared initiatives that are neither extractive nor exploitative towards people or the environment. To ensure we aren’t perpetuating systems of dependency, we organize grassroots projects with our partner communities that uphold and honor their knowledge, power, and agency.
Annual Report 2023
We’re growing and so is our area of impact. Our Colorado partner school clubs grew, we received a significant contribution to our endowment, and took a trip to Uganda with a group of volunteer teachers. Thanks for being a part of this wonderful year!
Join us at “Common Ground” every month!
…To learn from each other and build stronger, more equitable communities.
Now more than ever, it’s crucial to remember that these universal aspirations unite us. Our unique perspectives and experiences enrich our connection to each other and our collective understanding.
“Common Ground” is born from this recognition. Mwebaza's staff and board members will facilitate discussions on justice, equity, and diversity each month.
These sessions will create space for:
Exploring our shared values while honoring diverse perspectives
Understanding how equity shapes access to resources and opportunities
Learning from each other's experiences and wisdom
Building stronger, more connected communities
Developing practical approaches to creating positive change
Our gatherings will be more than just presentations – they will be opportunities for genuine dialogue, mutual learning, and collaborative growth. Whether you're new to these conversations or have been engaged in equity work for years, your voice and presence will enrich our community.
When: the last Thursday of each month, 6:30 - 8 (FIRST MEETING IS JANUARY 30th)
Location: Grimm Brothers Brewing, Loveland, Colorado
