global citizen (n)
according to the United Nations, a global citizen is “a person who believes that every individual around the world is a member of multiple, diverse, local and non-local networks rather than single actors affecting isolated societies”. With this mindset, global citizens work to promote sustainable development, embrace social responsibility, and to act on the benefit of all societies as a whole.
Students Take Action
Our mission has always been to foster cross cultural exchanges and service learning opportunities to enrich the lives of students in Colorado and Uganda. You can stay involved all year long with service learning activities! Host a fundraiser, learn about Uganda, and more. Here are just a few ways to get involved on your own.

Greetings in Lugandan
Uganda has 43 languages!
In the southern part of Uganda (where 3 of our partner schools reside), the native language is Luganda.
In the northern part of Uganda, where Parents’ Junior School resides, the native language is Acholi.
Interesting fact: America does not have an official language.
If you have an iPad, you can download this app to learn Luganda.
